Wooden Shutters - Basswood Louvre Shutters | Aspect Living

Basswood wooden shutters

For the last 10-15 years, basswood has been the mainstay of materials for our plantation-style timber shutters.

The raw material in basswood timber shutters is kiln-dried to suit the NZ climate, after which numerous layers of primer, paint and top coat are applied. Basswood shutter panels are light, have a solid structure and hang true.

Basswood wooden shutters are ideal for living areas, including bedrooms, dining areas, lounge rooms and kitchens. They provide good insulation and flexible light control and are strong and durable. However, they are not water resistant. For waterproof shutters suitable for wet areas, see our low-maintenance polymer shutters.

Basswood plantation shutters are available with a range of contemporary paint finishes. Included in our standard range are five timber stains. These are a favourite amongst interior designers looking to add warmth to a room. Without a doubt, basswood shutters will be a focal point in any home.
